Is it just me or is it a lot colder this year then last year?! I mean I remember it being cold and I definitely remember it raining but I don't remember it being this cold. When I was first hired to Corporate America back in the Fall I decided to follow the Portland way and 'go green' by taking public transportation to the office. Even though it's an hour and a half commute, economically hiring Trimet to be my personal (not so personal) driver has been to my advantage (*sighs* living the downtown glamorous life in Portland is spendy) but, this weather had me seriously reconsidering that decision. It's hard to be cute and fashionable when you're fingers are freezing and you can't feel your toes. Trust me, I know.
Yesterday morning while riding the street car I started noticing the different outfits of my fellow streetcar riders. There were some wearing cute outfits but they looked so cold that it almost took away from the fashion, and then there were some that were bundled up in so many layers that yes they were warm but nothing on their body said fashion. So this leads me to ask, is it possible to be warm while riding public transportation and still be stylish?
My answer, YES! It's definitely possible to happily marry style and warmth. Check out the look-book below for 6 key stables to stay warm during your commute.

Love this! I hate it when I actually feel like my outfit is cute and then just have to cover it up. I hadn't really thought of outerwear being part of the whole picture.
ReplyDeleteGreat scarf! I already have a faux fur scarf, but everyone can use a second, right?
