It's a busy weekend for PDX fashion. There are so many fashion and style events happening from Thursday 'til Sunday that it almost feels like we're living in New York! Ha!
Here are 5 local fashion events happening this week that I'm ridiculously excited for:
Wendy Ohlendorf Boulevard de Magenta Trunk Show + Holiday Party
I had the honor of meeting Wendy Ohlendorf of Boulevard de Magenta during Portland Fashion Week this season. She's such a sweetheart not to mention an amazing designer! Check out her gorgeous gowns at her trunk show + holiday mixer Thursday November, 6th at John Fluevog- 1224 SW Stark 6pm-9pm.
MadeHere PDX Grand Opening
MadeHere PDX is a shop 'dedicated to showcasing the talents of Portland-based designers, artists and makers." MadeHere is hosting their grand opening this Thursday, November 6th 6pm-9pm at 40 NW 10th. I'm looking forward to checking out their 3,000 square ft shop and seeing what designers and creatives they feature.
Machine Apparel Open House
I've been following Machine Apparel on Instagram for quite some time and I must admit, I like what I see! Machine Apparel recently acquired a space in SE and is hosting an open house Saturday November, 8 at Towne Storage Studios- 17 SE Third Ave Suite 510 6pm-10pm. I'm excited to celebrate the growth of Machine Apparel and meet the designer behind the brand, Jessica Caldwell. Admission is $1 and all proceeds go to the Oregon Humane Society. Love it!
Portland Fashion Industry Networking Events
If you want to get involved in the fashion industry here in Portland, PFINE is a good place to start. PFINE is a fun networking event where designers, creators, producers, fashion lovers, eerrrrbody (lol) can get together and discuss all things fashion happening in Portland. It's a great place to meet people and to just hangout with like minded people in a chill environment. PFINE is Sunday November 9th at 4pm at Jack Knife- SW 11th and Alder St.
Portland Fashion & Style Awards
I've never attended the Portland Fashion & Style Awards but I've heard many great things about it. I'm looking forward to dressing up, networking and honoring the PDX fashion + style industry. The event is taking place at the Portland Art Museum Sunday, November 9th at 5pm. Purchase tickets here.
