2015 fashion resolutions.

I don't know about you, but I'm beyond excited for 2015! I have so many personal goals for the new year (like going back to school which, by the way, I start classes today whoop, whoop) that I'm anxious to achieve. I also have a few projects for Downtown Glam that I'm looking forward to starting as well.

In addition to my personal and business goals, I also have a few fashion resolutions for 2015 as well.

Quality.
In 2015 I want to focus on buying items of quality rather than buying "cheap." There's nothing more annoying then having to repurchase something over and over again due to poor quality. Instead of buying 8 shirts I'd rather buy staple investment pieces that will last season after season. First on my "To Buy" list are these black pumps and this coat. So cute!

On my To-Buy list:

Maintenance.
I have a few items in my wardrobe that need buttons replaced, hems tailored and a good ole' ironing. It's easy to get busy and procrastinate on keeping up with garment maintenance but, in the new year I want to take better care of my wardrobe. Especially if I'm going to start buying quality pieces.

Expression.
In 2015 I also want to express my personal style by doing more outfit posts. I started to do a little more in 2014 but this year, it's time to step it up.

What are your fashion resolutions for the new year?

  1. Mine is to buy clothes and invest in myself. I have about 15 total items of clothes (not counting workout/lounge clothes) in my closet and after 2 babies it's time to invest in myself.

  2. I like the color palette, or should I say absence of color palette. Super suave!

  3. My fashion goals for this year are to buy some more professional clothes. I have plenty of workout or "mom" clothes but very few professional items.

    1. This is a good one! I need to do the same! Less tank tops and bodycon dresses and more blazers and skirts that come to an appropriate length. Lol.

  4. I hear you on buying quality versus the cheap stuff. I also need to work on retraining my brain to not jump at a sale for things I don't really need just because it's a good deal.

  5. I agree, I hate that I've given in to buying clothing just because of how cheap it is but then after a few washes there are wholes in it or it's coming apart.

    1. Ugh, there is nothing more annoying then getting holes in your clothes after like two wears. SMH! I feel ya girl. Lol (:

  6. I agree with you about buying quality over quantity. However, I almost feel that quality works against me right now...I have messy kids that frequently pull me into their messes, and my clothes don't always survive! Oh well, I'll miss this season of life once it pasts, but then I can "invest" in better clothes!

  7. I love all the black and white and neutrals. Think I'm going to simplify this year!

    1. I totally recommend it. I still like my pops of color but, a simply wardrobe makes getting dressed in the AM super easy! Ha (:
