7 REASONS WHY COCONUT OIL IS THE BEST BEAUTY PRODUCT...EVER

If you've never used organic virgin coconut oil let me be the first to tell you, you're missing out! Coconut oil is amazing and hands down the best beauty product because it's 100% natural and extremely versatile. There are tons of health and beauty benefits to using coconut oil but these are the 8 ways I use it on a daily basis:

MAKEUP REMOVER.
Coconut oil has moisturizing and antibacterial properties, which makes it an excellent makeup remover. I apply a bit to a cotton ball and slather it all over my face. It's crazy how the makeup just melts off like butter. After I've removed/loosened all the makeup, I wash my face and follow up with a toner and moisturizer.

TIP: Coconut oil is especially good for removing waterproof eyeliner and mascara.


DEEP CONDITIONER.
I started using coconut oil a few years ago as a moisturizer and deep conditioner and my hair has been loving me ever since. I can't tell you how incredibly shinny, moisturized and healthy my hair has become since adding coconut oil to my hair care routine. I moisturize my hair daily with coconut and black castor oil and try to use this DIY hair mask at least twice a month.  I typically workout six days a week and wash my hair a lot so keeping my hair moisturized is a must.


TEETH WHITENER. 
Oil pulling is when you swish a tablespoon of coconut oil around in your mouth for about 10-15 minutes then, spit it out. Sounds crazy I know but it's a great natural teeth whitener that actually works! It also helps prevent cavities, removes stains (hello coffee) and kills bad breath!


SKIN MOISTURIZER.
Coconut oil is great for people with dry skin because the fatty acids in the oil lock in moisture and help soften and smooth the skin. I like to apply lotion all over my body and then coconut oil over the top. I've noticed that when I do this my skin is a lot softer and less likely to get dry throughout the day.

TIP: Applying lotion + coconut oil (moisturize and seal method) is great for rough, dry knees and elbows. You're welcome! Ha.


BODY SCRUB + FACE SCRUB.
Piggybacking off the skin moisturizer, adding brown sugar makes a great body scrub or face scrub that's almost good enough to eat!

LIP BALM + SOFT LIPS + FLAWLESS LIPSTICK.

Want flawless looking lipstick and soft lips? Apply coconut oil to your lips 5-10 minutes before you put on your lipstick and notice the difference. You can also skip putting on lipstick and use coconut oil as a lip balm.

TIP: Apply coconut oil to your lips before you go to bed for an overnight lip treatment.
