24.

Yesterday was my 24th birthday and things got a little crazy. No, not for the reasons you're probably thinking. My crazy college freshman days are long gone- ha!

Yesterday I decided to quit my 'marketing' job (which turned out to be a legit pyramid scheme smh), go back to school and move out of my South waterfront apartment. A normal person would be pretty scared to randomly make these kinds of huge life decisions in one day but, in actuality, they really weren't that random.

The apartment I'm currently living in is a new development that doesn't want full-time students living in it. Maybe they're afraid that it'll turn into a dorm room. I don't know know, but because of rule I've know for a while that I would eventually have to move out. I've been talking about going back to school and finally getting my business degree for years but I was too caught up in life to go for it.

Well, here's my chance.

As for my 'marketing' job - ha! Turns out the only way to get paid from this 'job' is to sell Comcast door-to-door. So if you're in training for 2 weeks you won't get paid for your time. Oh, and they will send you on a 'business trip to Seattle' which is actually in Kent where your options are to sleep on the floor for a week or in a Queen size bed with 4 other grown ass women.

#WhereTheyDoThatAt??

I'll admit, I'm a little nervous about the future but I more excited to see where I end up. I know that if I continued to stay where I was I would wake up one day and be 30 with no degree, working a mediocre job and not happy about where I was in life.

I saw a quote on Instagram today that said, 'nothing changes if nothing changes'. The words are so simple yet mean so much. There are milestones I want to cross and goals I want to achieve in the next 6 years that I won't reach unless I put in the work and make changes now.

Turning 24 was a crazy, but I can't wait until my 25th birthday so I can tell you all about the blessing and goals I achieved because of the changes I made on my 24th birthday.

To be continued..
