Being the Social Media Manager for Portland Fashion Week definitely has its perks. Last Friday I was able to attend the REIF Spring/Summer '14 presentation VIP style. The presentation took place at the Bindery in NE Portland and featured a flower photo-booth and Solestruck pop-up shop.
According to designer Lindsey Reif, geometry played a big role in designing this collection. "I took a lot of inspiration from the natural geometric lines found in urban settings. This particular collection is inspired by '90s minimslism, vintage Kate Moss and Calvin Klein editorial, but with an urban edge." The Portland Mercury-MOD.
This was my first encounter with REIF and I must say, I was totally impressed! I loved the cut of many of the pieces but my absolute faborite were the white sheer plants! How cute!
I remember a time when I thought there was no fashion in Portland. Ha! I was so wrong!
I can't wait until Portland Fashion Week this season (get tickets here)! I'm so excited to see more of what Portland designers have to offer!
Oookay Portland, I see you!
