It's been a while since I've done a favorites post. My last favorites was for the month of October so I thought it would be fun to share some of the things I've been loving recently. Truthfully, everything featured are products and items that I've been using/wearing for a while. These have all been incorporated into my daily routine/ wardrobe but for whatever reason, I'm especially loving them this month.
white knits. My obsession with white started last summer and has been going strong ever since. I love the look of an oversized white knit paired with leather leggings or a dark wash jean for a casual yet chic look.
benefit they're real mascara. I was extremely late to try Benefit Cosmetics They're Real Mascara. I'd heard people raving about how great it was but I wasn't convinced. I finally decided to give it a try and picked up a sample size from Sephora. OMG guys, this stuff is so amazing that I had to go back and buy the full tube! It truly lengthened my lashes to the point that I don't even wear falsies anymore (unless I'm attending an event or going out). The only thing I don't like about it is that it's really hard to take off. However, if you put virgin coconut oil on your lashes, then wipe it off with a warm towel it comes off like butter.
bridge nine candles co. Since discovering Bridge Nine Candles I've been hooked! The scents are amazing, they're hand poured with soy wax which means that they burn for a long time and, they're made locally here in Portland. #Winning. My favorite scents are NW Pear, Portland Mist and Pineapple Sage. I also really liked the Pumpkin Spice and Spiked Cider during the holidays. So good!
elf brushes. The ELF cosmetics brushes are definitely an ongoing favorite for me. For a $1-$3 product they work exceptionally well and definitely get the job done. I do prefer to use my Sephora brush to apply foundation but for applying blush, highlighting and countoring and eyeshadow, ELF brushes are my go-to beauty tools. Did I mention that they're only $1-$3!
diy necklace. It's been a while since I've made jewelry but I really enjoyed making this necklace. It's a simple piece but it definitely makes a statement. And it's white so you know I love it! Ha!
organic virgin coconut oil. I have to thank the #teamnatural hair community for introducing me to virgin coconut oil. This stuff is amazing! There are lots of ways to use coconut oil but I mainly use it as a makeup remover, a moisturizer and a deep conditioner for my hair. I've been using coconut oil in my beauty regime for about six months and I love the results. I've noticed that my skin is super soft and that my hair is ridiculously healthy and has grown so much.
primecut salt + pepper clutch. This Primecut clutch will always be my favorite. Every time I carry this bag I get tons of compliments and for good reason. Made locally here in Portland, Primecut bags are made with quality, ethically produced materials and remarkable craftsmanship. This clutch also ties in perfectly with my neutral wardrobe. So again, you know I love it!
