8 LOCAL FASHION EVENTS HAPPENING THIS MONTH

Happy Friday! From now until the end of the month there are so many fashion events happening here in town! Between award shows, fashion shows, film screenings and parties...it's going to be a pretty busy few weeks. I can't say that I'm complaining though. I love it!

Here are the eight local fashion events I'll be attending:

CONTENT
Saturday, November 14th 5PM-10PM at 1022 SW Stark St
Content is a live fashion installation in the guest rooms of the Ace Hotel and is also one of my favorite fashion events in town. Basically, designers are given a room in the hotel to decorate in a way that represents their brand. Let me tell you, the designers go ALL. OUT! Its pretty cool and the designer line up this year, is pretty damn good.

PORTLAND FASHION & STYLE AWARDS
Saturday, November 15th 5PM-10PM at 1219 SW Park Ave
The Portland Fashion & Style Awards is an Annual red carpet show that brings together the best in Portland's fashion industry. I've never attended the fashion & style awards but I'm looking forward to getting all dressed up and checking it out this year.

NAU is celebrating their store opening with drinks, a 30% discount and Stay Wild Magazine. The first 25 people in the door will get a signed limited edition print from Stay Wild's fall issue.

Vanessa Schmidt of Tribes n' Pines will be at Madewell in the Pearl hand making bouquets. There will be raffles, giveaways, treats from SweetHeart Bakery and wine! If you need anymore motivation to come, check out the Tribes n' Pines Instagram! So cool!

ROM FASHION

Rebel of Mainstream fashion showcase featuring Modello, Japelle Binns, Thinkadope and Desi Designs in support of Up & Over, a youth mentoring event. This is a great event to support an awesome organization and local talent.

JAPELLE FASHION SHOW
Friday, November 20th 7PM at 15 SW 2nd Ave
Japelle Binns is showcasing her first collection in a kick-starter fashion show. I'm so excited for this show! I've been fortunate enough to get to know Japelle and work with her as she develops her business. She's a total sweetheart and crazy talented. Looking forward to a great show!

SIX/SEVEN ONE YEAR ANNIVERSARY
Saturday, November 21st 4PM-8PM at 811 E Burnside
SIX/SEVEN is celebrating their one-year anniversary and they're celebrating with a ppaaarrttyyy! Their shop neighbor, Seven Sisters is also celebrating their one-year anniversary as well. Between the two shops there will be food, wine, cocktails, music and of course..discounts!  I went to the SIX/SEVEN store opening last year and had a blast! You can check out pics from the event here!

HOLIDAY MAKE-UP BAR
Sunday, November 22nd 2PM-5PM at 1590 NE 172nd Ave
Abibat of Tabiba Styles and Charlisa of Chadowboxx Salon are hosting a Sunday brunch and holiday makeup bar. Learn makeup tips from a celebrity make-up artist as well has hair styling techniques to  create a glam holiday makeup look. Personally, I'm really looking forward to this! Maybe I'll finally learn to master winged eyeliner. Wishful thinking-ha!

THE TRUE COST | FILM SCREENING
Monday, November 30th 7PM at 4122 NE Sandy Blvd
The Fashion Collective Portland is sponsoring the screening of the film The True Cost, a documentary about clothing: where they're made, who makes them and the impact the fashion industry has on our world. If you haven't seen this film, I highly recommend it!

Are you in Portland? Are going to any of these events? If you see me, say hi! :)
NOTE: This post has been updated to include the Tribe n' Pines x Madewell event.
