october favorites 2014

Fun fact: did you know that I used to have a YouTube channel? Yup, I did. When I first started blogging I had a YT channel where I would talk about my jewelry business and other random things that would happen to me like, getting my weave suck in a train door-ha! A few videos in however, I realized that blogging was more my speed and that my life is just way too awkward for film.

Since my 'Youtube days' I've always wanted to do a favorites post but never got around to it. So today, is an epic day! I'm really excited to share my October favorites with you. Enjoy...

If you remember from my Mac lipsticks giveawaySmoked Purple', 'Hang-Up' and 'Rebel' were my favorite lipsticks this Fall. Since then however, I've noticed that I've been gravitating more towards 'Hang-Up' and 'Rebel' as my go-to shades.

Porter Magazine was a definite favorite last month. Click here to check out my review of the magazine.

Truth be told, when I purchased DVF's book "The Woman I Wanted To Be," I had no idea that it had just come out or, that it was a 'trendy' book to be reading. I had originally gone to Powell's Book Store to pick up Teri Agin's, "Hijacking the Runway" but, when I saw the DVF book and read the cover I was intrigued...and for good reason. Just 13 pages in (at the time) and I was hooked. "The Woman I Wanted To Be" is full of so much inspiration, wisdom and personality. I definitely recommend it!

I've been loving Essie's Winter '14 shade 'Jiggle Hi, Jiggle Low' but, I still love the Fall '14 'Take It Outside.' Gorgeous colors.

I'm totally obsessed with stackable rings these days. I love the way they make my hands look so feminine when paired with a fresh coat of polish.

Fringe was a pretty popular trend this season. I picked up this fringe bag last Fall at HM, but you can find a similar one here.

These boots were my first Aldo purchase and I'm totally obsessed. When I first got them I literally wore them everyday. I even walked to work in them. (Sidebar: I had to walk 12 long blocks to get to work. I don't recommend it!)

These babies are next on my list of boots to purchase. So cute!

  1. I have a YouTube channel, but it does not have much content. Just a couple video slideshows with music showing quilts from my collection. People seem to enjoy them. I have thought about doing other types of content, but will soon be doing Webinars with Quilters Newsletter magazine, so my YouTube channel will probably remain as it is. :)

  3. Haha I have a YouTube channel and I totally know what you mean by feeling awkward on camera. Who would've thought it was possible to feel more awkward in front of an inanimate object rather than an actual human, Haha!
Great post girl. Those boots are something else, killer purchase!
