10-MINUTE MORNING WORKOUT TO START YOUR DAY.

During the last two months of living at my old place, I was working out twice a day, five to six days a week. Every morning I'd be in the gym by 6:45AM, in the shower by 7:30AM and in the office by 8AM. It was great! However, towards the end of the second month I started to burn out and I stopped working out as much. Okay, so I stopped working out all together but I've decided to get back into the gym (especially since I'm pretty sure I gained everything back that I lost-ha).

Since moving into my new place (yay!), it no longer takes me 10 minutes to get to the gym. Now, between the commute and the traffic it's takes like 20-25 minutes even in the early AM to get to the gym. It's crazy!

Because I can't commit to waking up any earlier than I already am and I like the idea of doing my morning workout at home, I collaborated with Tami of Wildfire Fitness to develop a 10-minute morning routine to get the blood flowing and the best part, you don't need an equipment and you don't have to go to the gym!

THE WORKOUT.

12 PUSH UPS
12 BICYLE ABS (each side)
12 TRICEP DIPS
12 MOUNTAIN CLIMBERS
12 JUMP SQUATS

REPEAT 3X

SWEAT IN STYLE:

I've been doing this morning routine (and eating clean"er") for the past week and already I've started to feel better. I had forgotten how good I feel throughout the day when I exercise in the morning. Between this 10-minute AM workout and hitting the gym or going to Wildfire Fitness Bootcamp classes in the afternoon, I feel great! If you're looking for a good morning workout, I'd definitely recommend this 10-minute routine.

Try it out and tell me what you think!

  2. The fact that it's short and in the morning makes it easy to become part of your routine and not have an excuse to not do it!

  3. I love this. I am not getting up any earlier either. Small steps are easier to hold on to especially when life gets crazy. Thanks for sharing your small step. I'm gonna try it tomorrow morning.

  5. Sounds awesome! I love the way I feel when I'm active first thing in the morning. It's the best way to start the day, but it's so easy to shove aside.

  6. Thanks for sharing this workout! These days 10 minutes are about all I have at one time to get in a workout during the day.
